Elfon is 100% wind and solar powered. By hosting your site on Elfon, you're
helping prevent the release of over 120 tons of carbon dioxide per year, conserve nearly 48,000 gallons of water and save almost 60 tons of coal.
Previously, our wind power was delivered by Utah Power, as part of their Blue Sky Program. We encourage you to support other Utah businesses that have committed to helping our environment.
Currently, we purchase green tags certified by Green-e, the nation's leading independent green power certification and verifications programs for renewable energy.
What else does Elfon do to help the environment?
- To reduce waste, we bill electronically.
- During the winter, we recycle the heat generated by the computers to heat our offices.
- We recycle as much as we can: pop cans, plastic, cardboard and paper.
- To
reduce automobile emissions, we allow our employees to telecommute as
much as is practical. We also encourage our employees to car pool as
often as they can.

Elfon was a Partner in the EPA Green Power Partnership, a voluntary
program designed to reduce the environmental impact of electricity
generation by encouraging organizations to switch a percentage of their
electricity to green power. Update: Elfon has been named to the EPA Green Power Leadership Club for using 100% wind power ("was" because they changed the small business eligibility rules)

Elfon is proud to support Project AWARE. Project AWARE (Aquatic World
Awareness, Responsibility and Education) conserves underwater
environments through education, advocacy and action. The Project AWARE
foundation funds projects that have a direct benefit to the aquatic
environment, including public education programs, grass roots
conservation projects and volunteer-supported community activism. You
